Today I had the pleasure to meet Jessica and her boys, Tuxedo and Thumper. I had such a good time. You can truely tell they love her, because when she moved so did they. They gave me a run for my money let me tell ya. If only we humans could have the energy of these little guys.

She may not be America's but she is my Top Model

Yesterday my daughter and I watch reruns of America's Next Top Model. They were doing a photoshoot of the models dressed like dolls. She loved it and asked if we could do that. So I promised her we would do them today. Here they are! Thanks for looking! :)

Ladies & Gentleman, Lexi does not like to pose!!

Our little Lexi absolutely hates my camera. No matter how hard I try it is almost impossible to get a good picture of her. I really wanted to because my kids felt it was unfair to post Blanca our kitty and not post Lexi. "Mommy her feelings will be so hurt and she will think we don't love her!" For some reason the minute she sees my camera she falls at my feet and plays dead! Not sure what her reasoning is but that is just what she does. This is how it goes....

"Come on Lexi, sit up and look at Mommy!"

"No Lexi, don't lay down."

"Please Lexi, just one pretty girl!"

"Now Lexi!" "That is not very lady like!"

Last attempt...give a girl some accessories and this is what you get! Great job Lexi you truly are a beauty to us!

A Luau for a Spunky Lady

This Saturday was my friend Michelle's Moms 60th birthday. I so hope I am like Ms. TJ when I am 60. She is so full of life. This party matched her personality perfectly. Bright colors and fantastic food. The evening was filled with dancing and celebrating her life. So if you see this Ms. TJ I want to be like you when I grow up! :)

Siblings and baseball

We spent the whole summer playing baseball this year. The team has become like a family. Not only the boys that play, but the brothers and sisters that tag along to be there. Long hot summer days, hamburgers, hotdogs, and popcorn. A funny thing happens though. The siblings form a little family of their own. They play together and look after eachother. Here are some that belong to us. Our team...our siblings...our family. Oh and also my black and white day 5! Enjoy!

Okay so I love COLOR!!

Once again I took these for my B&W project and ended up loving them in color. It honestly made me sad to take the colors away. It's funny though because some of my favorite images taken by others are conversions. I wonder now if I would have liked them better in color. For instance, if by chance I would have ever seen any of Ansel Adams work in color would I have liked it better. Probably not....but just maybe. So anyways here are my colorful shrooms and my B&W for day 4.

Strike a pose Miss Blanca

This is our treasured kitty Blanca and Blanca also means white in Spanish. They say you can find anything you want at walmart..well that is so true! That is where we met Blanca. She was one of 6 in a cardboard box in front of our local walmart. We never made it in the store without her. I saw her and fell in love. She is 7 years old and truly has a mind of her own. There have been times she has wondered off for days and then comes back and I could swear is mad at us, as if we were the reason she left. She is a beauty. My kids absolutely adore her. This is also my Day 3 for my black and white project.

Expressions

I took these specifically for a black and white monthly project I am working on. I ended up loving them in color. She just cracks me up sometimes. She is so used to being in front of the camera that now she just does what she wants. Somehow she looks glamorous when in actuallity she is wearing one of Dad's old t-shirt and wrapped up in a blanket. She is truely my muse and inspiration for loving what I do.

Dutch Island Party

This was an absolutely beautiful party at a gorgeous home in Savannah Georgia. I was honored to capture the images that I did. You get a true sense of southern flavor in the low country of Georgia. These are a few of my favorites.
